I came here for lunch with a friend one day when we were looking for fast and cheap. I'd never been in a Church's, since I don't eat chicken, but they offer a fish meal. The location was completely empty when we arrived, although the drive-through was full and steady. The service was okay, but not in any way warm. The wait seemed fairly long for "fast food." My jalapeno poppers were okay, as were my fries. My fish was a tad over fried and lacked any discernible flavor. I've had better fried fish at many fast food chains. BF said his chicken hit the spot, so maybe this is a place where you stick with the basics. I'd eat here in an emergency, but not otherwise.

First off they are incredibly understaffed which always leads to incredibly slow. Come on let's get real your making chicken, well frying it at least. Never should a 2 piece chicken meal from time of order to driving off take 15 minutes Normally I would tell someone why to go, this is about why not too, the parking lot is clean which lulls you into a false sense of cleanliness but looking in the window through the drive thru it's clean and that might be a stretch I tell you it's not a place to be after dark, per the plexiglass to keep customers from robbing or coming over the counter...Why was I here, because I was working at Banneker elementary up the street...oh and one more reason you will undoubtedly be bothered by someone homeless or someone begging for food or money Do not go here!

One star is generous. The guy at the counter can't figure out who's next in a line of two. I dumbed my order down to only a drink. First and last time I'll be here.

Hubby and I prefer Church's Fried Chicken to the other fried chicken options in the area; KFC, Popeyes, and the grocery store. This is the nearest Church's to our home and I sometimes stop at the drive thru to pick up some chicken and fixin's for dinner. The chicken is always good. I especially like the skin and crispy nature of the original Church's. Another plus is that it is inexpensive. Service at this particular store is SLOW. I waited in the drive thru for about 5 minutes for my order of 10 pieces of legs and thighs, mashed potatoes and slaw. The slaw at Church's is always good. The mashed potatoes not so much. Hubby even commented that he was going to have to doctor them up with garlic and onions tomorrow when he eats the remainder of them for lunch tomorrow. I don't each Church's mashed potatoes. Chicken is always good, biscuits are always good, slaw is always good. It's a heart attack on a plate dinner. Predictable and inexpensive.

The chicken is always good, for a cheap $1 chicken sandwich they do a better job than the other fast food places. The rolls are amazing and really most of the food from Churches is consistently good quality. The drawback of this location is that it is SLOW, I sometimes grab food for the guys working on one of our project homes and may sit in the drive through for 10+ minutes. One time they messed up our order and gave us random things instead of what we ordered so we made a complaint and corporate called to follow up but they never did get the order right :) Good fried chicken and food but less than perfect service and slow.
